Margaret E. (Eagan) Pickering Passed away 4 days short of her 97th birthday, October 5, 2018 at her home for the past 16 years, Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Horseheads. Born in Elmira, the daughter of the late Henry E. and Grace L. (Fields) Eagan. Her first great granddaughter, Jessica Ann Storch, sisters and brother-in-laws, Joan and Tom Holleran, Evelyn and Ken Epler and brother, James Bush also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Judy and Alan Ramsay; sister in law, Zonnie Bush; grandchildren: Michael Storch, Tammy (Tim) Sweeney, Jeffrey (Sherry) Storch; 7 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margaret retired from LRC Electronics after being hired as secretary when they first opened. She enjoyed driving in Road Rally's with Evelyn being her navigator. She was also a registrar for Formula 1 cars at Watkins Glen for a few years. Her favorite NASCAR driver was Mark Martin. Family and friends are invited to gather at Forest Lawn Memorial Park for Graveside services on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10 am. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Because of Liz's love for dogs, any memorial donations are welcomed in her name to Friends of the Horseheads Animal Shelter, 150 Wygant Road, Horseheads NY, 14845. The family wishes to express their sincere love and appreciation to Margaret's second family, the nursing staff at Elcor Health Services for the outstanding care and compassion they unselfishly gave to Liz.
