Bradt, Margaret Jane (Margie) age 81, Passed away at the Heritage Nursing Home, Athens, Pennsylvania, Formerly of Franklin Street in Elmira, New York. She was born on July 30, 1919 in Batavia, New York, a daughter of the late Samuel and Cathrine (Barron) Orr. Margie was welcomed home on May 1st, 2001by her Heavenly Father and her beloved ?Al?, her husband of 52 years and their adored son Allen Bradt, Jr. Margie was predeceased by her six siblings, all of her brother in law?s and sister in law?s in the Bradt family, and her son in law, Dr. Robert A. Piper. She is survived by her daughter, Bea Mary Piper of Elmira, NY and her grandchildren Robert Allen Piper II of Charlotte, NC, Marse? Jane Mowrer(Michael) of Jamestown, NY and Jay Bradt Piper of Rochester, NY. Two Great grandchildren Molly Bea and Mitchell Mowrer of Jamestown, NY and also many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY Thursday, May 3rd, 2001 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00pm. The Reverend Cathy Black will officiate. Graveside services will remain private at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.Margie was a devoted member of the E.O.S. Harmony Chapter of the Ladies of the Eastern Star and the Rebecca?s IOOF, and attended the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Marge?s happiness was her faith in God, her family, home, and her many friends. On of her greatest joys in life were her three grandchildren.
