Madeline A. Root

Madeline A. Root, age 88 of Pine City, NY passed away peacefully at home with her loving children by her side on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Madeline was born July 15, 1930 in Williamsport, PA. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert B. Root, Jr.; parents, Joseph and Cora Blitz; daughter, Paula A. Root; five siblings and two sons-in-law, Andrew and Edward. Madeline is survived by her children: Penny Hover of Liverpool, NY; Joseph Root, Pine City, NY; Pam (Butch Rought) Ames, Gillett, PA; Peggy (Tony) Wray, Gillett, PA; Patty (Mark) Wheaton, Monroe, NC. Grandchildren: Jocelyn, Mark (Elizabeth), Jolene, Andrew (Suzanne), Jessica (Aaron), Jillinda, Melissa (Michael), Jason (Eleanor), and Stephanie (Josh). Great-grandchildren: Michael, Jeremy, Chloe, Nathan, Kyper, Arellin, Mya, Jacob, Maddy, Latisha, Mikey, Brooklyn, Juliet, Chris, Azura and Matthew; and her loving cats, Baby and Lucky. Madeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and “GiGi” who will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
