Lynette M. Harris

PINE CITY – Lynette M. Harris, 74, of Pine City, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022.Born on December 6, 1947 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bud and Marjorie (Kenyon) Murray.She was a graduate of Elmira Southside High School. On January 15, 1966, she married the love of her life, Gene W. Harris at Centenary United Methodist Church in Elmira. Lynette enjoyed traveling to the north country with her family on trips to Cape Vincent.She was a skilled angler and loved fishing the waters of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River.Over the years, Lynette and Gene had collected several vintage cars.She especially enjoyed her red 1959 Chevrolet Impala. Lynette was always putting everyone’s needs before her own.She loved taking care of her family and more than anything she cherished the time that she shared with them. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Cheryl Plouse. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gene W. Harris, Sr. of Pine City; her children, Gene (Karen) Harris, Jr. or Southport; Renee Harris of Pine City; her grandchildren, Samantha Harris, Cody Harris; and her great grandchildren, Paisleigh Avalynn Suzanne Smith, Gabrielle and Scarlette Rinwalski. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Fitzsimmons Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
