Lorraine K. Vanhorn

Lorraine K. (VanHouten) VanHorn, Age 79 of Hopkins Street, Southport, NY passed away at home with her loving family at her side. Lorraine was born April 21, 1945 in Elmira daughter of the late Willis and Lousie (Paulman) VanHouten. She was retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital where she worked in the Central Supply Department. She was a member of the Christian Faith Fellowship and enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends.

Surviving is her husband James D. Vanhorn of Southport, two daughters, Mary Ann and James Cooper of Elmira, Mary Cabaniss of Shelby, NC, two sons, Dennis and Andrea Montgomery, Jr. of Lewes, DE, Brian Montgomery of St. Croix, VI, five grandchildren, Kristen (Jonathan) Cooper, Allie, Ryan and Carlee Montgomery, Carrie Cabaniss, a great-granddaughter, Soleia Callahan, her brother George and Val VanHouten of Coryland, PA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Dennis Montgomery, Sr., brothers, Richard, James, Wayne and Harry VanHouten and a granddaughter Jaimie Cooper.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service that will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Fitzsimmons Cemetery, Southport, NY with Pastor Stephen Crupi officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be sent to Care First Hospice, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, NY 14870.
