Lois Jean Kellogg Mood

HORSEHEADS – Lois Jean Kellogg Mood, 81, of Elmira, is now in the loving presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passing away on January 18, 2022 after a long illness. Born on August 3, 1940 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Wilma Kellogg. Lois attended Eastern Nazarene College and used her business skills at Southern Tier Glass for several years. Due to her vision impairment, she became a commercial sewer at the Southern Tier Association for the Blind. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Marc S. Mood, Sr.; her daughter, Laurie Ann (Fred) Seip; her son, Marc S. (Mary) Mood, Jr.; her nine grandchildren, her ten great-grandchildren; her special friend, Kassey Gerbes. Friends may call from 1-3 pm on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Elmira.A service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Pastors Richard Hack and John Early, officiating. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the Lighthouse Baptist Church Family for their prayers and support; her nephew, Bob Mood and his wife, Kathy for their many trips to assist with daily needs; and the staff at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for their Excellent Care.
