Leona D. Powers

Age 88 of Bonview St. Elmira, NY, passed away Saturday December 28, 2002 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Powers, and sons, George & Robert. Leona is survived by her daughters; Leona DeHaas of Pine City, NY; Dretta Durgin of Pine City, NY; and Mary Ann (Robert) Harrison of Troy, PA, sons; Donald (Jackie) Powers of Elmira, NY, and John (Kathy) Powers of W. Palm Beach, Fl; sister, Myrtle of the Falls Nursing Home; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Leona was an avid bingo player and had many friends. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Family and Friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Monday, December 30, 2002 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Monday at 8:00 PM. Rev. Edward Crandall will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield , PA. A Candle of Remembrance may be left for the family at www.olthof.com.
