GILCHRIST,Lauren D.(Patchen)Of Elmira, NY, age 43, went to be with her Lord at Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband; Richard W. Gilchrist, children; Shawn C. and Samantha Gilchrist, brother; Raymond D. Patchen, Jr. of Atlanta GA, sisters; Dona (James) Vavonese, Karen (James) Blake, Lynn R. Patchen all of Liverpool, NY, Mary Vartuli of Syracuse, NY; mother-in-law, Ann M. Davis of Syracuse, NY; sisters-in-law; Deborah Reynolds of Athens, PA, Cathleen (Ralph) Smith of Elmira, NY, Leslie (Kevin) Loukopoulous of Elmira, NY, Lynda (Wayne) Nock of Kileen, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Adopted parents; Phyllis and Vincent Minieri of Dryden, NY, bother and sister, Michele and Jamie. Lauren was predeceased by her parents, Raymond D. and Mary (Coleman) Patchen, Sr.Lauren was a communicant of St. Mary?s Church and had been Manager of the Bakery Department at the Tops Market in Big Flats, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Friday, March 22, 2002 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10:30 AM in St. Mary?s Church, 224 Franklin St. Elmira, NY. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make donations to the children?s trust fund, C/O Ralph Smith, 916 Sycamore St., Elmira, NY, 14904. The family would like to thank the many close friends that assisted them during Lauren?s illness and they would also like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the Robert Packer Hospital, especially those of the Oncology Department.
