PINE CITY - Kenneth E. Bellinger, Sr. 83, of Pine City, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.Born on August 4, 1937 in Elmira, NY , he was the son of the late Kenneth and Eleanor (McCauley) Bellinger.He graduated from Van Etten High School and went on to earn a certificate from Ithaca College. Kenneth was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1960.On June 22, 1963, he married the love of his life Ann Leahy at St. Ann's Church in Bentley Creek, PA. For many years, Ken was the Treasurer of the Pine City Sportsmen's Club where he shared his extensive knowledge and love of archery with others.He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and any outdoor activity.A true craftsman and woodworker, Ken was known to make pieces of furniture for his family.He also enjoyed quiet time at home reading a book and watching old westerns on television.More than anything, he cherished the time that he shared with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his great-granddaughter, Kayla Domako; his sister, Marlene (Gilbert) Bailey; his brothers, Raymond (Kathleen) Bellinger, Robert (Sylvia) Bellinger, James (Cheryl) Bellinger, Norman (Kathy) Bellinger, Donald Bellinger, his Father and Mother-in-Law, Gerald (Frances) Leahy; and his brother-in-law, Thomas Leahy. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann (Leahy) Bellinger of Pine City; his sons, Kenneth E. (Maren) Bellinger, Jr. ofLinden, MI, Brian J. Bellinger of Elmira Heights, Andrew T. (Mary Kay) Bellinger of Millerton, PA; Daniel P. Bellinger of Elmira Heights; his grandchildren, Nicole L. Bellinger of MI, Michael A. Bellinger of Elmira, Steven K. Bellinger of MI, Ryan T. Bellinger of TN, Laura A. (Thad) Wasilewski of MI, Allison E. Bellinger of PA, Kenneth M. Bellinger of Millport, NY; his great-grandchildren, Emily Domako, Lucy Domako, Oliver Bellinger, Kaiden Bellinger; his brother-in-law, Gerald Leahy; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Leahy and Judy Leahy. Burial in St. Peter& Paul's Cemetery in Elmira will be private and at the convenience of Ken's family. Ken's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at DaVita Dialysis Center and Dr. Mauri, Stephanie Busch, PA and their staff for the professional care that Ken has received over the past 20 years.
