Kem E. “Klutch” Burgett, Age 67, of Southport, NY passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Klutch was born August 1, 1957 in Elmira son of the late Earl and Bonnalyn L. (Marlatt) Burgett. Following graduation from high school Klutch joined the US Navy and served from 1976 to 1979 aboard the USS Valdez. Klutch was an officer at the Southport Correctional facility and was retired from the New York State Department of Corrections following 33 years of service.
He enjoyed working in his garage, riding his Harley Davidson and was a member of the Chosen Few MC, Elmira, NY.
Surviving are his sister, Kathy and Darrell Stansfield, of Elmira, two nephews, Jason Stansfield and Greg Stansfield both of Elmira and his best friend Harley.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Karen Burgett.
Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904.
