Kaye L. Krusen

Kaye L. Krusen, age 87 of Wellsburg, NY passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at home surrounded by her children. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, George "Buddy" R. Krusen; sisters, Eloise MacBlane and Gaile Roth. Kaye is survived by her loving children, Jacqueline (Philip) Hadley, Vicki Krusen, Stephanie Mitchell, Jeffrey (Jan) Krusen,Nichola (David) Curtiss, Deborah (Ross) Hobler, George Kelly Krusen and Timothy (Krista) Krusen; grandchildren, Andy, James, Sara, Stephen, Matt, Michelle, Kevin, Jenny, Kerry, Mike, Diana, Jen, Skip, Seneca, Josh, George Kelly, Jake, Kelly Marie, Ashlynn and Gavin; many special great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat Krusen; and very special niece, Cindy (Jeff) Campbell. Kaye was very involved in Riverside Methodist Church. After raising eight children she returned to school and received her LPN license at the age of 48. She was an avid Ohio State "Buckeye" Fan and taught the fight song to many people throughout her time. She loved her dogs and enjoyed their company. Kaye was an independent woman, taught her children to be strong and was an amazing mom. She will be greatly missed here but welcomed with open arms by her husband. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6 pm at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
