Kathleen A. Hughes, 81, 1485 Carpentar Road, Pine City, NY Died: 7.27.2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital. DOB: 1.29.1939, Corning, NY Parents; James and Christina (Amati) Dean Education: CFA High School; worked as a hairdresser operating her own salon for many years. She loved her God, family, and friends. Her pastimes and passions included golf, breakfast out, travel, Notre Dame, and the YANKEES! Predeceased by her parents and sister, Jane Bowdy. Survived by brother-in-law, James Bowdy; nephews Dennis (Kim Overstrom) Bowdy, Brian (Marylou Brown) Bowdy, Kelly (Craig) Keefer. Great niece and nephews; Samantha (Michael) Schamel; Mitchell Keefer; Jordan, Evan, Noah and Camden Bowdy. Great- great nephew Aiden Schamel and great-great-niece Riley Bowdy. Several Cousins and her dearest friends; Bea, Brenda, Katie, Maddie, Mary, Sandy, and Sue. Heartfelt thank you to staff at St. Joseph's 3C for their amazing service and kindness. Mass at St. Mary's Church Southside (224 Franklin Street, Elmira) on Monday, August 3rd at 10 am. Masks are required. Christian Burial following service at St. Mary's Cemetary on Park Ave in Corning.
