Katherine Ellen Beach

Katherine E. Beach, of Wellsburg, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 13, 2024 while at home with her loving husband Delbert by her side. She was 75.

Katherine was the daughter of the late George H. Wead and Eva (Henyon) Fowler, born at the Arnot Ogden Hospital on May 27, 1949.

Kathy worked at various places throughout her life, such as the A & P plant in Horseheads, the Keystone Bindery, and the Acme grocery store in Southport. But her favorite job was being a homemaker. She loved all of her family greatly, and believed that family was very important. And it showed through all the love she gave, not only to her husband and her children, but also to her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews too.

She was always an avid lover of music throughout her life. She loved 50s and 60s rock, as well as country music, but she especially liked Elvis Presley. As a child she learned to play the clarinet, and you could always hear singing to whatever song she was listening to.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her son Daniel A. Beach; her sister Shirley Hodencamp; her sister-in-law Karen Fowler; her niece Morgan Fowler; her step-father Bert Fowler; and her three step-brothers - Robert Fowler, James Fowler and Edward Rupert.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 58 years Delbert A. Beach; her children - son Delbert E. Beach and wife Cynthia Beach, son Michael Beach, and daughter Katherine L. (Beach) Williamson and husband Stephen;  her grandchildren - Cassandra Beach, Delbert E. Beach, Jr., Erik Beach and fiancé Christina Tadder, Shandi Beach, MacKenzie Beach, and Paige Beach; her three great grandchildren - Dean, Seth and Sheena; her brother Kenneth Fowler; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, when her funeral service will begin, at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue in Elmira, NY. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at a later date.
