Karen M. (Barkalow) Marvin

ELMIRA – Karen M. (Barkalow) Marvin, 84, of Elmira died on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.Born on October 27, 1936, in Freehold, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Evelyn (Farey) Barkalow. On April 21, 1957, she married the love of her life, Donald Marvin. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sons, Donald, Jr, James; her brother, William Barkalow and sister-in-law, Junie Barkalow. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Donald Marvin of Elmira; her loving children, Joseph, Teresa, Debbra, Diane, Michael and Karen II; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; her brother, Wayne Barkalow, her sister, Marlene (James) Prentice; as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin, NY with the Reverend Lynn J. Shepard, officiating.
