Joyce M. Wood

Wood, Joyce Marie (Przymusik) 92 of Elmira, NY passed away February 10, 2023 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Joyce was born the daughter of the late Stanley and Mildred Carpenter Przymusik; December 7, 1930. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Wood in 2003. Surviving are her children: Bonnie (David) Maliszesky of Rochester, NY; Kenneth (Bonnie) Wood of Bradford, NY; Joseph(Karen) Wood of Walkertown, NC; David (Judy) Wood of Hamburg, NY; Barbara(David) Jenkins of Pine City, NY; Deborah (Joseph) O'Brien of Dundee, NY and Cynthia Wood of Elmira; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Joyce worked at Shulman and Son in Elmira for many years. She was a very well known area seamstress whom made many weddings, and ceremonies complete with her handmade gowns. She loved family and the holiday season. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, February 16th, 2023 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus (St. Mary's Church) 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY Friday, February 17th at 10:00AM. Graveside committal prayers will be offered following at the Woodlawn National Cemetery where Joyce will be laid to rest next to her late husband Robert.
