Joyce Anne Reagan

Joyce A. Hemenway Reagan, age 81 of Big Flats, NY passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Corning Center. Joyce was predeceased by her son, Patrick S. Hemenway in 1987; step-daughter, Beth Curtin in 2017; mother and father, Audrey and Jesse Rowe; mother and father-in-law, Winifred and Edward Reagan; grandparents, Christine and Thomas Dixon; seveal aunts and uncles. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Richard E. Reagan; son, Michael (Linda) Hemenway; step-daughter, Wendy (George) Whitson; son-in-law, Mike Curtin; grandchildren, Jessica Ketchum, Kyle (Loren) Whitson and Chelsey (Steve) Mattison; great-grandchildren, Patrick M. Hemenway, Jerimiah Ketchum, Ruby and Blake Mattison, and Makayla Curtin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Kaya) Reagan, Susan (James) Kennedy, Nancy (Richard) Logue, Jack (Michele) Reagan, James (Susan) Reagan; many nieces, nephews, many life long friends and faithful canine companion, Frankie, who will miss her greatly. Joyce was born on January 14, 1938 in Dansville, NY and has lived all of her adult life in the Elmira/Big Flats area. Joyce retired from the NYS Court System, working in Elmira City Court. Joyce also worked for many years as a court assistant to Judge John V. Moore in the Town of West Elmira. She worked part-time for the records department with the Elmira City Police Department and most recently worked part-time with the Town of West Elmira. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4 pm to 7 pm with a funeral service to follow at 7 pm at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of Corning Guthrie Hospital, the Corning Infusion Center and the staff of Corning Center.
