Joseph E. Magno, 89, of Elmira, NY passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Bethany Manor Nursing Home. Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife, Ermil Copp Magno; parents, Dominic and Catherine Lagonegro Magno; daughter, Ann Marie Magno; and grandson, Dominic Magno. Joseph is survived by his children, Catherine (William) Kohberger, Irene Magno McCann, Maryrose (Jerry) Bannister, Frances Magno Doane and Joseph (Mary) Magno; brother, Thomas (Rose) Magno; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-greatgrandchildren; cousins, Charles (Sue) Vacanti and Carolyn Vacanti; and many special nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. “We love you dad, you will be missed!” Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 30th, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 pm with a funeral service to follow at 3 pm at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY. Joseph will be laid to rest in the St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
