John J. Podosek

John Joseph Podosek, III of Elmira Heights, NY. Born August 22, 1957 in Buffalo, NY the son of John Joseph and Josephine (Saj) Podosek II. Following graduation from high school he enlisted in the United State Marine Corps. He served his country from 1975 until his honorable discharge as Corporal in 1979. John worked as a laborer and most recently was employed at the CVS Distribution Center, Waverly, NY as a forklift operator.

Surviving are his parents John J. and Josephine Podosek II, of West Elmira, NY, a son, Eric (Jillian) Podosek of North Collins, NY, two daughters, Valerie Pearsall of Louisburg, NC, Katrina Podosek of Raleigh, NC, grandchildren, Jarrett Meyer, Evan Podosek, Lailani Pearsall, Bennett Podosek, Alayna Grillo, a sister, Michele Podosek of Elmira, two brothers, Mark Podosek of Center, AL, Christopher (Maria) Podosek of Buffalo, NY, nieces, nephews and friends.

John was predeceased by a sister Anita Podosek and two grandchildren Aaliyah Mercado and Aaron Mercado.

Services are private and under the direction of the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904.
