John C. Osborne

Age 90, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Chemung County Nursing Facility. He is survived by his children; John C. (Joan) Osborne Jr. of Corning, Robert (Karen) Osborne of Elmira, Marilyn Amrhein of Elmira, brother; George Osborne of Ocala, FL., daughter-in-law; Julie Osborne of Homesdale, PA. Grandchildren; Liza (Daniel) Hable, Domick Felix, Joy (Andrew) Kimball, Richard (Debra) Osborne, Carmela (Bryce) Fox, Sylvia Jones, Jeff McChesney, Sue (Mike) Olson, Angela (Robert) Courts, J.D. (Stacy) and Bianca, several great grandchildren and his beloved dog "Beanie." Predeceased by wife Phylis, son Duke, sister Anna K., and son-in-law Jim. Jack was a real people person and was loved by all ages. He had a love and respect for all creatures. Family was " number 1" to Jack. He loved the outdoors, walking, swimming and going shopping. He loved good food! He was a very dedicated worker at Corning Glass for many years. His belief in God he lived out in his daily life. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with memorial service following.
