John J. Di Giacomo

Di Giacomo, John J. "D-Jock" 74 of Elmira, passed away at Robert Packer
Hospital Friday, February 24th, 2023. John was the son of the late
Joseph and Ann Ketchum Di Giacomo of Corning. He was predeceased
by his wife Bonnie in 2018. Surviving are his daughter: Darcie
Zimmerman (Mike Grover) of Elmira; Son: Thomas J. Di Giacomo of
Williamsport, Pa; Grandchildren: Christopher A. Clinton of Elmira,
Rebecca J. Clinton (Patrick Kingston) of Painted Post, ,Emily J. Clinton of
Elmira, Lance Biddle of Alabama; Great Grandson Mason L. Kingston;
Sister: Barbara Roberts of Allentown, Pa, Brother: Richard Di Giacomo
(Debbie) of Port Saint Lucie, Fl; Brother: Steven (Barbara) Di Giacomo of
Elmira; Sister: Mary (Anthony) Branch of Troutman, NC along with
several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. D-Jock was an avid
sportsman who loved the outdoors. He loved taking part in Indian Guides,
Boy Scouts, hunting, shooting sporting clays, archery as well as fishing.
He would always be found on the weekend at a local gun club shooting
trap or skeet. He loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home,
1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 from
6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will remain private. In lieu of
flowers please make memorial donations to the Painted Post Field and
Stream, 320 Beartown Road, Painted Post, New York 14870 in John J. Di
Giacomo's name.
