Joanne M. Wood Matlega

Joanne M. Wood Matlega, 87 of Elmira, NY passed on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Elcor & Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Josephine Wood. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Patricia Materne and Howard James Wood. Joanne is survived by her loving sister, Diana Wood Gillis. Joanne’s children were her many nieces and nephews. She spent many selfless years taking care of her mother and many others. She retired from Chemung County Nursing Facility after many years of caring service to her patients. Burial will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday, June 15 at 1PM.
