Joann M. Green

JoAnn Marie Green Corning- Joann M. Green, 80, died on December 28, 2021, at the Corning Guthrie Hospital. She was born July 13, 1941, in Elmira, the daughter of George Strong and Dorothy Redder-Smith. JoAnn lived a long and full life filled with love. Her favorite pastimes include playing bingo, going to rummage sales & flea markets, shopping, checking out new restaurants and caring for her pets. Spending time with family, especially during the holidays, meant the most to her. JoAnn is survived by many loved ones including a brother, her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and countless friends & family members. A service of remembrance will be held at 10am, Thursday, January 6 at Olthof's Funeral Home. At Joann's request, interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery where her ashes will be buried along side her dearly departed mother, Dorothy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider donating to the Elmira Animal Shelter or Chemung County SPCA in memory of JoAnn and her love for animals.
