Joann M. Fretz

JoAnn M. Fretz Age 69 of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Elcor Healthcare, with family by her side. JoAnn was born on April 12, 1952 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Comfort) Lentz. JoAnn was the "Mother" of all who crossed her path. Her Love for Tommy was her greatest gift. JoAnn was always up for an adventure. If you said road trip, she was the first one in the car with her roll of toilet paper in her hand. Her game nights with family and friends were always filled with laughter, companionship and an endless buffet of eats. She always enjoyed her outings with herRed Hat Ladies, and a good cup of tea. Angels brought her joy and comfort. Music filled her heart. Whether going to concerts at the NYS Fair or to the local hot spots, she was always down to "shake it." Her annual Christmas party was notoriously fun for everyone. To say she will be missed is an understatement. JoAnn is survived by her son, ThomasFretz; brother, Marvin DeWater; sister, Rose Breese; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Carol, Vicki, Helen, Danielle, and Sue. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Fretz; siblings, Sylvia Hansen, Fran Henderson, Gifford DeWater and companion Michael A. Eckert. Funeral Arrangements to be announced.
