Jesse H. Cook

Age 87 Life long resident of Pine City, NY Passed away Wednesday March 5, 2003 at St. Joseph?s Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Zimmer Cook, son; Richard (Sandy) Cook of Elmira, NY, daughter; Ann L. Cook of Pine City, NY, son; David (Paula) Cook of Pine City, NY; grandchildren; Shelly (Steve) Marciniak of Elmira, NY, Stephen (Kelly) Cook of Elmira, Dawn Cook of Dover, DE, Phillip (Michelle) Cook of Elmira, NY; great-grandchildren; Julia Cook, Zachary Marciniak, Nathan Cook, Sean Michael Marciniak; and brother; Walter ?Bill? (Rita) Cook of Pine City. Jesse was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters. He was a member of the Painters Union and was a painter in the area for 30 years; working for Botchers and John H. Cook Painting Companies. Jesse was also a member of the Pine City Baptist Church, and was an avid hunter and trapper. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed being on his John Deer tractor mowing his lawn or watching the cardinals fly around his yard. He also looked forward to watching a good baseball game. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Friday, March 7, 2003 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Funeral and Committal Services will be there Friday at 6:00 PM with the Reverend Horace Stoddard officiating. Interment will be in Webb Mills Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
