Petrie, Jean Ann ?Nan? Murphy Elston Retired Sales Associate with Sears in Elmira Age 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2001 at home with her family. She was predeceased by her husbands, George Elston and James Petrie, 1 granddaughter, Janet Jamison, and 1 great-grandson, Cael Shutes. Surviving are; Her children, Carol (Roy) Cole of Tunkhannock, PA, Virginia ?Ginny? (George) Riseborough of Roseville, PA and Grand Manan Island, N.B. Canada, George ?Wilbur? Elston and Allison Elliott of Gallupville NY, Barbara (Richard) Peck of Pine City, NY and Richard ?Marty? Elston of Elmira, NY Grandchildren, Jeanne Hart, John B. Jamison, Jennifer Eby, Juliet Price, Jeffery Jamison, Michael Shutes, William Shutes, Tracey Fletcher, Joel Elston, Josh Elston, Dan Barry, Chrissy Barry, Tom Barry, Katie Elston, Shanna Elston, Sarah Elston and Shane Elston. 19 Great-grandchildren. Nan was a graduate of breeseport high school, Breeseport, NY. She was employed as a Sales Associate with the Sears Store for 35 years retiring in 1993. She was a former member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Elmira. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, Wednesday, November 14, 2001 from 6 to 8 PM. The funeral and committal service will be held there Thursday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira at the convenience of the family. The family will provide flowers and suggest the memorial donations be directed to: Guthrie Hospice, RR1 Box 154, Towanda, PA 18848 in Nan?s memory.
