Jason M.

Age 29, entered into rest peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Corning Hospital, Corning, NY. He was born Jul7 18, 1973 in Elmira, NY the son of Roger and Margaret (Lilley) Nye. Jason was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margaret December 16, 1994. He is survived by his loving father, Roger; brother, Brady (Crystal) Nye; two nieces, several cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Jason lived at home with his family until moving into Pathways, Inc. Forest Drive ICF, Painted Post, NY in June of 1987. He graduated from the Corning Painted-Post School District, BOCES program in June of 1994. He attended Pathways, Inc. Day Treatment Program after graduation until the present time. Jason was an active volunteer at the Corning Hospital for several years and was recognized for these accomplishments. He enjoyed music, shopping, dining out, and spending time with friends, visiting Bragg?s farm laughing and being happy. Jason was loved dearly by all of his friends, family and staff of Pathways, Inc. He found his way deep into our hearts with his hugs and special way of greeting us all daily. His fondness of the people who cared for him was obvious and abundant. He brought a smile to everyone?s face that he encountered. Jason?s spirit and memories are imprinted on all of our hearts forever. We will celebrate and embrace the time we had with him. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held for close friends and family on Friday, February 21, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Pathways, Inc., Forest Drive ICF. A Memorial Service will also be held at a later date and time to be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Pathways, Inc. Forest Drive ICF, 129 Forest Drive Painted Post, NY 14870 at the family?s request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY.
