James E. Pratt

Pratt, James E. Sr. Age 63 of Elmira, NY. Passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2001 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 12, 1937 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Arthur E. and Rosabelle (Densmore) Pratt. James married Judith Sadler on March 7, 1969 in Elmira. They have enjoyed 32 wonderful years of life together. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; beloved children, Jamie E. Pratt of Pine Valley, NY; Jill E. Couch of Connersville, IN; Stephen M. Barrett of Elmira, NY; Patrick J. Barrett of Geneva, NY; William E. ?Coppy? Hawk and Robin Pellor of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Joshua J. Pratt, Amy M. Pratt,Brandi E. Hawk, Brittany E. Hawk, Bradley E. Hawk and Brandon L. Couch; sister, Mary C. (Henry) Wilson of Mosherville, PA; along with several nieces and nephews. James retired from the Elmira City School District as Custodial Supervisor after 22 years of dedicated service. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force serving his country from 1955 to 1959 in England and Germany. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Monday, October 15, 2001 from 6:30 ? 8:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (8:30 PM) Eleanor Haber Spiritual Care Coordinator of Southern Tier Hospice will officiate. Interment will take place on Tuesday in the Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:00 where the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Pratt full Military Honors. The family will provide their own flowers. Memorial Donations may be directed to Southern Tier Hospice or to the Josh Palmer Fund. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home.
