James T. Dibella

DiBella, James T. 65 of Lodi, New York formerly of Elmira passed away very unexpectedly at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca; Saturday, December 30th, 2023. James was born in Passaic , New Jersey September 15th, 1958; the son of the late Eugene P. and Marylou (Holmes) DiBella. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Becky (Pipher) DiBella; Daughter and son in law: Marina M. DiBella (Chris Crater) of Millport; Son: Timothy P.K. DiBella of Corning: Son: Tristan L. DiBella of Odessa; Grand daughter: Lilith;  Sisters: Patricia DiBella-Kreger (John Hagedorn), Donna DiBella (Eugene Biringer), Brother: Peter DiBella (Victoria Warne), several nieces and nephews along with his loving extended in-law family with pets " Eddie" and "Moe".  James was self employed. He appreciated the value of buying beautiful properties and refreshing their spirit. He loved Seneca lake and the beautiful sunsets shared with his family and friends. He was a colorful free spirited guy, who played guitar, piano and was a gifted visual artist. Sailing was his passion along with family gatherings surrounded by the Seneca lake waters he loved. Playing guitar around a summertime bonfire and embracing the value of loving friendships were among his best of times. His Lodi lake house was his final masterpiece.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine City, NY Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00PM. Funeral services celebrating James T. DiBella will be held at the conclusion of the gather hours. Reverend Andrew Pollock will officiate.  Graveside committal prayers will be held at a time convenient for the family in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing may make memorial donations in James T. DiBella's name to the charity of their choice.
