Ivan Tarafas

Ivan Tarafas, 84, longtime resident of Gillett, PA passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Ivan was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret Tarafas. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Irene Tarafas; He was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States in 1961. He loved nature, hunting and his gardening. He was a loving husband and friend who will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY 14904. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 12 PM at St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira. Burial will follow immediately in the Gillett Cemetery, Gillett, PA.
