Harry W. Morrell

MORRELL, Harry W. Jr. Age 85 Of Elmira, NY passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He is survived by his son; William and Barbara Morrell of Elmira, NY; grandchildren; Nancy (Whelsky) Morrell of Minetto, NY Beth Ann Morrell and Jeffrey Morrell both of Elmira, NY. great grandchildren; Kathryn and Benjamin Whelsky, sisters; Shirley Troy of Ithaca, NY and Eloise Ciotti of Orlando FL. Also survived by numerous friends. Harry was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Ruth H. Morrell, December 10, 1988. He was a member of the Jessie Cooley Masonic Lodge F & AM, a former employee of American LaFrance and the Westinghouse Corporation, and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Harry enjoyed playing golf and he had a real passion for fishing. In his earlier days he was a Trumpet player for many local area bands, but he will best be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather. It was Harry?s request that there be no calling hours and that a private funeral service be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
