Thomas, Harold A. ?Cy? Jr. age 69 of Maple Avenue, Elmira, NY. Passed away very unexpectedly Thursday, May 24th, 2001 at the St. Joseph?s Hospital, Elmira. Cy was born March 5th, 1932 the beloved son of the late Harold and Mildred Morgan Thomas Sr. in Elmira, NY. The Husband of the late Joan Schmalenberg Thomas who passed away June 28th, 1993.Surviving Cy are his loving sons and daughters in law: Dan(Karen) Thomas, Jim(Karen) Thomas Daughters and sons in law: Linda(Jim) Agan all of Elmira, NY and Marilyn(Don) Melvin of Leesburg, FL. Loving grandchildren Mark and Brad Thomas, Sarah and Emily Thomas, Jared, Laura, and Ashley Agan. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday, May 29th, 2001 at 11:00am. The Reverend Walter Wainwright will officiate. Graveside committal prayers will follow at the St. Peter and Paul?s Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Cy was predeceased by his wife Joan, parents Harold and Mildred Thomas Sr., and sister Mary Turner. Cy was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He and his loving wifewere well known in the entire area for owning and operating the? Bridal Party Loft?, ?A-Supreme Limousine? and ?That Craft Place?.Those knew Cy best for his wonderful sense of humor, unforgettable one liners, respect for others,his devotion to his family and his manicured home and grounds. There was an immediate sense of genuine friendship around Cy. Many people were shaped by his charisma and caring attitude toward others. He will be missed.
