Glenn W. Cooper Age 85 of Southport, NY passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. He was born on November 21, 1935 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Leslie and Thelma Cooper. Glenn was a retired safety coordinator from Trayer Products, Inc., retired New York and Pennsylvania State Fire Instructor. He was an active life member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department and was the train engineer at Bucktail Camping Resort. He is survived by his daughter, Sherri (Hal) Schrock; son James (Mary Ann) Cooper; grandchildren, Elizabeth Jezorski (Ken Hoffmann), Jennifer (Nate) Lawton, Lauren Schrock (Jacob Gray), Kristen Cooper (Jonathan Howland); great-grandchildren, Logan and Micah Bryan, Maple Hoffmann, Calvin, Posy, and Penelope Lawton; sister-in-law, Betty Cooper; several nieces and nephews. Glenn was predeceased by his wife, Lois; brother, John; and granddaughter, Jaimie Cooper. Glenn's life will be on display at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Penna. Ave., Elmira on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 3 to 6 PM with funeral and committal services there at 6:00 PM. Rev. John DeSocio officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be directed to the Southport Fire Department, 1001 Carl St., Elmira, NY 14904. The family would like to thank the staff at Elcor for the wonderful care Glenn received.
