Age 93, passed away Monday, August 19, 2002 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY.Gertrude was born July 25, 1909 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie (Kniffin) Lovejoy.She is survived by the following: beloved son and daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Lorraine McIntosh of Lowman, NY; grandchildren, John (Diana) McIntosh of Wayne, NY; Barbara (Fred) Roberts of Wellsburg, NY; Brenda (Jeff) Mace of Pine City, NY; Bonnie (Larry) Atlow of Florida; Donald C. McIntosh of Lowman, NY; along with 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews; sister, Fannie Kelley of Elmira, NY; brother: Ed Lovejoy of Painted Post, NY; She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clifford L. McIntosh in 1956; great grandson, Alan McIntosh in 1992; brothers, Harold, Dorn, Charles and Harry Lovejoy; sister, Alta Patrick; 2 half brothers and 2 half sisters. Mrs. McIntosh was employed for 16 years with Burts Lad & Dad of Elmira, and retired from the Arnot Ogden Medical Center as a unit clerk after 22 years of dedicated service. She was a past member of the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church and a member of the Central Christian Church. For 60 + years she has been a member of the Loyal Order of the Eastern Star. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue Elmira, NY on Sunday, August 25, 2002 from 3 - 6 PM. The Harmony-Loyal Chapter OES#265 will hold an Eastern Star service at the funeral home at 5:45 PM.Funeral services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours (6 PM) with Rev. Richard Elliott officiating. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family, Memorial donations may be directed to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
