Geraldine Ann Dandrea

Geraldine Ann ‘Gerry’ Dandrea, 87, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Gerry was born in Gang Mills, daughter of the late Ruth E. and Robert H. Cook. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James B. Dandrea and her sister, Margaret Bamonti. Gerry is survived by her loving family; daughter, Ruth Ann Dandrea, of Holland Patent, NY; grandchildren, Gretchen Blynt (Andrew Morris) also of Holland Patent, NY and Michael Blynt (Jenna Rotach) of Chapel Hill, NC; great granddaughter, Zora Morris; brother, Harold Cook and many nieces and nephews. Gerry recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of her employment at Corning Glass Works. She was an avid bingo and euchre player, and she loved to go to the casino. Gerry was devoted to her family and friends who will miss her greatly. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira, NY 14904. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY 14904. Burial will immediately follow at St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
