George W. Holly, III
Age 86, of Pine City, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October, 17, 2023 surrounded by his family.
George was born on May 26, 1937 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late George W. and Martha Jane (Whitcomb) Holly, Jr.
He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and was a retired employee of F.M. Howell with over 35 years of service. George was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener.
He is survived by son, Roger (Karen) Holly; sister, Ann (Al) McGonigal; brother, Joseph Holly; other family members, Leroy, Dorothy, Diane, John, and Susan; grandchildren, Stephen Holly, Taylor (Kevin)
Conger, Evamae Holly, and Layla Holly; great-grandson, Waylon; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Beside his parents, George was predeceased by his wife Beverly Holly;  and family member, Jane.
Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Penna. Ave., Elmira, NY on Friday, October   20, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00pm with funeral services there Friday at 7:00 pm. Pastor Chip Possee officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at  10:00 am at Webb Mills Cemetery, Webb Mills, NY. Full military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
