George D. Nichols

Age 64 of Richard Street Elmira, NY passed away Saturday, March 8, 2003 at St. Joseph?s Hospital. He was born May 23, 1938 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Ray and Ruth (Crompton) Nichols. He was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Patton. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary E. (Beardslee) Nichols; sons, Charles (Tammy) Nichols and George Nichols Jr.; daughter and friend, Jenny Nichols and Brad; grandchildren, Brian, Ashly and Brandon Nichols; brother, Edsel (Dorthy) Carson; sisters, Phyllis (Paul) McIntosh, Linda (Lyle) Wheeler and Penny Rumsey (Richard); along with several nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-laws. George was a long time race fan, enjoyed playing cards with his family, was an avid bingo player, a die-hard NY Yankee fan and was employed by Totem Taxi. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, March 13, 2003 from 6 ? 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours.
