George T. Bement

Bement, George T.Bendix Retiree Age 90, of Millerton, PA. Passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at St. Joseph?s Hospital Elmira, NY. George was born June 9, 1910 in Millerton, PA the son of the late Ernest and Irma (Brown) Bement. He was preceded in death by his wife,Ellene (Andrews) Bement in 1960 and daughter, Vanetta Everett in 1997. His survivors include: sons, Donald (Mary) Bement and Gerald ?Tommy? Bement both of Millerton, PA; daughters, Virgilene (Harry) Miller of Palm Bay, FL; Frances (Robert) Pearson of Millerton, PA; Wilda (Hal) DeHaas of Pine City, NY; along with 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. George retired from the Bendix Corporation with over 30 years of faithful service. He enjoyed playing euchre and was an avid hunter. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, June 1, 2001 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (8:30 PM) The Reverend William Vallet will officiate. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Alder Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in the name of George T. Bement may be directed to the Jackson Township Parks and Recreation P. O. Box # 41 Millerton, PA 16936.
