Fredrick J. Guyette

Guyette, Frederick J. Age 90 of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Jennie R. (Weeks) Guyette. He is survived by his children, Frederick (Paulette) Guyette Jr. of Brackney, PA; Pamela (Mark) Spinelli of Bedford, TX; David (Cindy) Guyette of Elmira, NY; Deborah (Randy) Beach of Elmira, NY; Diana (Kevin) Rogers of Elmira, NY; Tina (Ron) Senecal of Dryden, NY; 16 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased by the mother of his children: Elvera (Green) (Guyette) Apthorp, Step mother: Geneva Guyette, Aunt Ida, grandsons Michael and Gregory Guyette, and Great Granddaughter Paisley Rose Beach. In service to his country Fred served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired as an electrician from the Remington Rand Co. He was a member of the Bentley-Trumble Post #442 American Legion and the Moose Lodge #1476 of Horseheads, NY. Fred loved bowling, hunting, fishing,softball, daily walks and time spent with his family.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, Thursday, December 28th, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Services celebrating Fred’s life will follow the calling hours at 7:00PM. Graveside services will be held at a time convenient with the family in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors accorded. Those wishing please make memorials in Frederick J.
