Francis A. Drake

Drake, Francis A. Age 64, was born September 13, 1952 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Anson F. and Elizabeth J. (McDonald) Drake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. His sister, Patricia Drake also preceded him in death. Francis is survived by his loving daughters, Kristen Woodward of Horseheads, NY; Kellie Drake (Korey Watts) of Elmira Heights, NY; adored grandchildren, Cameron and Thomas; Kenley and Knox; brothers, Christian Drake of Elmira and Donald Drake of Cortland, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Francis was a Veteran of the US Air Force, proudly serving his country from 1973-1977. He enjoyed watching football and was a huge New York Giants fan. He was a fantastic cook with his specialty being grilling steaks on the grill. He also took great pride in his lawn and absolutely loved mowing it. Francis had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He absolutely loved his daughters and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Drake by the Chemung County Veteran's Honor Guard at 3:00 pm in the Woodlawn National Cemetery, 1825 Davis Street in Elmira.
