Frances I. Balmer

: Age 90, a former resident of Bird Creek Road Gillett, PA for over 60 years, went home to be with her Lord, March 22, 2003 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was born August 2, 1912 in Wells Township, PA the daughter of the late Charles and Luella (Brewer) Besley. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn Balmer in 1999 and sister, Florence Saunders. Her survivors include her beloved children, Alan and YungJa Balmer of Phoenix, AZ; Joan Kantrowitz of Miami, FL; Carol Balmer of Pine City, NY; Dale and Bonnie Balmer also of Pine City, NY; Donn and Laura Balmer of Gillett, PA; Alison Pringle of Danville, PA; loving grandchildren, Kerry and Brad Baur of Chicago, IL; Jody and Kim Balmer of Ozark, AL; Jason and Angela Balmer of Erie, PA; Jessica Balmer of Elmira, NY;Mallory Balmer of Gillett, PA; Meredith Balmer also of Gillett, PA; Katy Schappel of Williamsport, PA; great grandchildren, Makayla and Micah Balmer of Ozark AL; Anthony Osburn of Elmira, NY; Maria Balmer Erie, PA; Jacquelyn Baur of Chicago, IL; along with several nieces and nephews. Frances was a member of the Webb Mills United Methodist Church for many years. She loved to crochet, enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and liked crafts.
