Fay Ann Kettell

Age 81 of Elmira, NY passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2003 at St. Joseph?s Hospital. Fay was born July 30, 1921 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Claude Henry and Julia Ett (Roosa) Shepard. She married Robert Kettell on July 8, 1944; he preceded her in death in 1986. Fay was a commercial model for Gorton Coy and American LaFrance in the 1940?s and subsequently owned and operated her own beauty salons in Wellsburg and Elmira, NY. Fay is survived by her loving daughters and son in laws; Claudette and Jairo Estrada of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Diann and Claude Davis of Painted Post, NY; beloved grandchildren, Jairo and Meghan Estrada; Aliette, Armando and Diego Estrada; Amanda and Kassandra Davis; also survived by adopted daughter, Betty Rosenblatt; along with nieces, Marlene, Jeanne and Nancy; nephews, Greg, Mark, Ken, Bill, Harry and Don; good friends, Mary Kellogg and Lynne Barrett. Fay was also predeceased by her siblings, Thelma Woodward, Harry Shepard, Roland Shepard, Donald Shepard, Hazel Cook and Helen Swimelar. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from 12 to 2 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (2:00 PM) The Reverend Howard L. Hunt will officiate. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will provide their own flowers.
