Age 87 of Wellsburg, NY passed away Friday, November 22, 2002 at St. Joseph?s Hospital Elmira, NY."Betty fell asleep in Jesus and is waiting for the blessed second coming of Jesus when she will be resurrected."She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years; Harold T. Washburn Sr. daughter; Nancy (Edward) Happ of Corfu, NY, sons; Harold T. Washburn, Jr. of Wellsburg, NY and Clair Washburn of Savona, NY, grandchildren; Susan Anthony, Lisa Fridmann, Bruce Jacobs and Julie Fuller, 9 great grandchildren, sister; Loretta Farwell of Olean NY, predeceased by her daughter Rita B. Jacobs in 1978. Betty was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church of Elmira, NY, member of the Seventh day AdventistCommunity Service Association ( DORCAS Society ) member of the Chemung County Parents of A.R.C. and a member of the Home Bureau. Betty loved flowers, she enjoyed sewing, baking and collecting dolls, but the most important part of her life was the time she spent with her family.
