Elizabeth M. Dandrea

Dandrea, Elizabeth,age 101 of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Elcor Rehabilitation facility on Monday, September 10, 2018. Elizabeth was born in Elmira to the late Lizbetta and Liberato Baccille. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was also predeceased in death by several siblings.She was alsopredeceased by her beloved daughter and son, Mary Ann and Nick, along with her husband, Anthony Dandrea. Elizabeth is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Teresa Olson and Angelina Popovich; and sister-in-law, Joy Baccille; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth worked for the Diocese of Rochester for 25 years. I believe she was the only person at age 82 to receive unemployment benefits. She had a strong faith and a strong belief. She loved to play bingo and being with her family, helping them whenever she could. She had eight children and she loved each and every one of them dearly. Her family will miss her a great deal. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Elizabeth’s life at the Woodlawn National Cemetery, on September 17, 2018 at 11 AM. At that time, anyone who would like to say a few words sharing memories are welcome to do so. Father Disocio, St. Mary’s Church, will officiate.
