Elizabeth Grace Cicconi

Elizabeth Grace Cicconi Age 89, was born June 14, 1923 in Dubois, PA the daughter of the late Henry Herman and Elizabeth (Bassett) Schrock passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Her loving husband of 40 years, Leo Cicconi Sr., son, Leo Cicconi Jr. and special companion David Maggese preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children, Joe (Joyce) Cicconi, Betty (Glenn) McClelland, Pat (Bob) Briggs and Mike Cicconi; brother, Harold Schrock; along with 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth retired from the Elmira City School District after several years of dedicated service. She was a member of the New Beginnings United Methodist Church and worked in their kitchen. She was also the President of the United Methodist Women. Elizabeth was an avid bowler, enjoyed reading and watching golf. Above all else, family was first and foremost to her. Family and friends are invited to gather at the New Beginnings United Methodist Church 300 East Miller Street Elmira on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 2 PM. Reverend Michael Weeden will celebrate Elizabeth's services. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA 2435 Route # 352 Elmira, NY 14903. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY.
