Age 81Of Elmira, NY Wednesday July 3, 2002 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, following a short courageous battle with cancer. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Rocky Emmick in 1986 and she is survived by her Children: Gary K. (Dorothy) Emmick of Corning, NY; James C. (Sharon) Emmick of Horseheads, NY; Bruce R. Emmick of Elmira, NY; Carolyn S. (Ben) Connelly of Elmira, NY; along with 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces; Barbara Kinsley of Waverly NY; Nancy Tracy of North Carolina and also survived by her beloved cat ?Sherman?. She was predeceased by her sisters; Dorothy Casselbury of Athens, PA; Marian Alba of Elmira, NY. Eleanor was a member of Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, a Volunteer at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Auxiliary, a Red Cross Volunteer, Literacy Volunteer who tutored at Elmira College, a member of Erie Sunshine Circle, a former employee of Marine Midland Bank and Mega Tool Corp. of Elmira. Of all her accomplishments, the most important thing she did in her lifetime was to be a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Family and Friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira on Saturday July 6, 2002 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM with Funeral and Committal there Saturday at 4:00 PM. The Reverend William Vallet will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
