Age 94 of 154 Eastview Drive Horseheads, NY, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2002 at the Elcor Health Services. She was born June 27, 1908 in Bath, NY the daughter of the late Noel Amenzo and Cora (Rice) Remington. Eldora was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter R. Mullen who died in 1958. She was also predeceased by sisters, Lola Harrington and Alva Remington; brother, Leon Remington; granddaughter, Linda Ersly. She is survived by her daughter, Guyla M. (Walter T.) Ersly of Horseheads, NY; son, The Rev. Gene W. (Florence Whitson) Mullen of Dundee, NY; grandchildren, Cynthia A. (Larry) Welliver, Camilla K. (David) Cruttenden, Reed (Jill) Mullen, Susan (Brian) Warner, Linda (Larry) O?Connor; great grandchildren, Kimberly Welliver, Scott and Mark Cruttenden, Brett and Michael Mullen, Kyle and Tyler O?Connor, Stephanie, Mark, Kelly and Reed Warner. Mrs. Mullen was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church and served as a deaconess. She loved reading her Bibles and lived her life in strong faith. Family and friends are invited to call at the First Baptist Church, 121 West Church Street, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 from 10 to 11 AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Dennis Christiansen will officiate. Interment will take place privately in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will provide their own flowers. All who knew her saw the love of her Savior, Jesus, in the way she served her family, friends and church.
