Edward J. Coleman

Coleman, Edward Joseph Jr. "Ed" "Eddie" age 38, of Pine City, NY passed away at the Cleveland Clinic, Saturday August 26th, 2023. He was born in Elmira, NY.  Ed was predeceased by his parents: Edward Sr. and Linda (Dailey) Coleman.  Ed is survived by his wife, Sara (Roush) Coleman; sons, Carter and Ethan; brother, Jason (Melanie) Coleman all of Pine City, NY; sisters, Colleen Coleman, also of Pine City, NY, Tracy Riker of Millport, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ed loved spending time with his family and friends more than anything.  He had a very generous heart that helped keep his family and friends close.  He worked extremely hard and was so proud of the beautiful life he made for his family.  He owned and operated Gemini Consulting Associates, with his business partner John Ahearn.  Through their dedication and drive John and Ed accomplished so much together in the Renewable Energy Field.  On any given weekend he could be seen fishing on Keuka Lake, watching his beloved Green Bay Packers (he never missed a season of fantasy football), or having cookouts. Ed loved to challenge anyone to a game of chess.  He enjoyed his late night snacks, winding down, and chatting with friends on video games.  He was full of wit, and could talk the best of them into anything. Ed never backed down from a challenge.  He loved to make a deal. Ed had a challenging road with his health over the years and fought so hard through many challenges.  Ed was blessed to have close friends who were with him through his accomplishments and illnesses.  Their unconditional support and companionship encouraged him until the end. Ed will be missed by many. Our family would like to especially thank Dr. David Trawick, MD, the nurses, and staff from the University of Rochester Medical Center in NY, as well as, The Cleveland Clinic in OH.  We will be forever grateful for all the wonderful care you gave to our "Eddie".  Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, on Tuesday September 5th, 2023 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00AM.  It will be held at the Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus (St. Patrick's Church) 604 Park Place, Elmira, NY.  Donations may be made in Edward Joseph Coleman Jr.'s name to the Transplant House of Cleveland by visiting https://www.transplanthouseofcleveland.org/ways-to-help/donate/ or to The Ronald McDonald House New York at https://www.rmh-newyork.org/.
