Edna S. Cook

Edna S. Cook (Smith) Age 79, formerly of Southport, NY, was born October 30, 1938 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Carlton W. and Mary (Estes) Smith. She passed away peacefully at Absolute Care of Endicott on Sunday, October 7, 2018 after an extended illness. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert E. Cook; her sisters: Barbara (William) Belig, Louise (Arthur) Miller and Lucille (Allyn) Robinson; her brother-in-law, John Harrison; and her sister-in-laws, Emily Smith and Carlole Cook. She is survived by her beloved children: Robert (Karen) Cook, Valerie (Charles) Everetts and David Cook; her sister, Carolyn Harrison; her brother, Carlton Smith; her brother-in-law, Richard Cook; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Edna retired from RKB Enterprises where she worked as a bookkeeper. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, October 13, 2108 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Memorial Service celebrating Edna's life will follow the visitation at 3 pm. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will follow in Fitzsimmons Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Robert.
