Edith K. Miller

Miller, Edith K. age 87, of Elmira, NY passed away on Monday, January 15th, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Edith was born in Elmira, NY; February 8th, 1930. She was the daughter of late George and Anna (Moses) Karam. She is predeceased by husband Sherril. Surviving are her Sons: David (Patricia) Miller of Wolcott, NY and Jeffrey Miller of Dundee, NY; Two Granddaughters whom she adored, Hillary and Haley Miller; Grand-dog, Rebel; along with several nieces and nephews; Wonderful neighbors, Vicki and Tom Bisbo.Edith worked for Dr. Arthur Miller DDS for several years and as a switchboard operator at the St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years. She continued to support her community after her retirement, volunteering for thousands of hours at the hospital. She loved casino trips with her friend Mickey Morris and had a very active social life. She truly enjoyed her friendships. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Thursday, January 18th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services celebrating Edith’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 19th at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 304 N. Main Street, Elmira, NY. Graveside services will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Reverend Wanda Copeland will officiate. In lieu of flowers please make memorials in Edith K.
