Douglas Eugene Kerr

Age 62, of Pine City, NY was born January 26, 1956 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Arthur E. and Elizabeth J. (Seymour) Kerr; passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pat (Dailey) Kerr; beloved children: Douglas "Bub" (Katlyn) Kerr of Elmira, NY; Judi Kerr of Aston, PA; adored grandchildren: Alivia, Colton and Karter; Shane and Joey; siblings: Rodney (Faye) Kerr of Caton, NY; Carol Burnham of Elmira, NY; Arthur (Julie) Kerr of Pine City, NY; Barbara (Paul) Daniels of Pine City, NY; Nancy (Russell) Purvis of Lowman, NY; Susan (Ronald) Stanton of Elmira, NY; Robert (Kathy) Kerr of Deltona, FL; along with several nieces, nephews. Doug was a dedicated employee of John Mills Electric for 19 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He was a huge NASCAR fan and Martin Truex Jr. (his choice to win the Championship this year) was his favorite driver. Above all, Doug was a loving husband, father, Pa Pa, brother, uncle and friend. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home 1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Funeral services honoring his life will follow the visitation at 4 pm. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place at the convenience of his family in the Fitzsimmons Cemetery, Southport, NY.
